The Aprilia Atlantic 400 Sprint was a 2007-09 motorcycle with a four-stroke, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine and a 399cc capacity. It had a high-strength tubular steel frame with a closed double cradle and a CVT transmission, with a final V-belt drive. The front suspension had hydraulic forks with a 35mm diameter and 105mm of travel, while the rear suspension used the engine as a swingarm and had two gas-filled shock absorbers with 5-position spring preload adjustments and 90mm of travel. The front and rear brakes were single-disc, with 260mm and 190mm diameters, respectively. The engine had a compression ratio of 10.5:1 and was electronically fuel injected, with electronic CDI ignition and a 12V, 380W alternator. The maximum power output was 25.3 kW / 34 hp at 7500 rpm, and the maximum torque was 37 Nm / 3.8 kgf-m / 27.3 lb-ft at 5500 rpm. The motorcycle was designed for urban use and commuting.
