The Aprilia Atlantic 300 is a motorcycle model from 2012-13 with a four-stroke, single cylinder, SOHC, 4 valve engine that has a capacity of 278.3 cc / 17.0 cu in. It has a compression ratio of 10.5 – 11.5:1 and is liquid cooled, with electronic CDI ignition and electric starting. The generator output is 12V – 180W. The maximum power is 16.4 kW / 22 hp at 7500rpm while the maximum torque is 23.8 Nm / 2.4 kgf/m / 17.6 lb-ft at 5750rpm. The transmission is automatic CVT and has a v-belt final drive with an automatic centrifugal dry clutch. The rear suspension has a floating engine unit secured to the frame with 2 arms at right angles with each other, and 1 twin-action hydraulic shock absorber, with adjustable spring preload. The stroke for the rear suspension is 105mm with 90mm / 3.5in of wheel travel. The brakes have a single ~A240mm disc, 3 piston floating caliper in the front while the rear has a single ~A190mm disc, 2 piston fixed caliper. Additionally, its five-spoke wheels are made of aluminum alloy.
