The Adler ISDT motorcycle was manufactured in 1957 and had a 247cc, 2-cylinder, 2-stroke engine with a bore and stroke of 54 x 54mm. It was air-cooled and used a petrol oil mix of 25:1 for lubrication. The clutch was a multi-plate design and it had a kick start with a 6V, 6Ah battery. The ignition was a 6V 45/60 W ignition set, battery, and coil, and it used a single Bing carburetor with a twin steel chrome exhaust system. The maximum power output was 13.1 kW / 18 hp at 5590 rpm with a compression ratio of 1:6.6. The transmission was a 4-speed gearbox housed in the engine block, with a fully enclosed chain as the final drive. The frame was a double tubular design with a sidecar adapter, and the front suspension used twin swinging leading link forks with a shock absorber and steering damper. The rear suspension had plunger shock absorbers that were adjustable for load and road conditions. The front and rear tires were 3.25 x 16 inches, and the brakes were drums with a diameter of 180mm.
