Kawasaki GPz750R Ninja (1985)

The Kawasaki GPz 750R Ninja, also known as the ZX 750R, was manufactured in 1985, and featured a four stroke, transverse four cylinder engine, DOHC, and 4 valves per cylinder. The bike had a capacity of 746 cc, a bore x stroke of 70.0 x 48.6 mm and was liquid cooled, with a compression ratio of 10.5:1. The bike was equipped with 4x 34mm Mikuni carburetors and a transistorised, electronic advance ignition. The bike had an electric start, and produced a maximum power output of 92 hp / 67.2 kW @ 10000 rpm and a maximum torque of 7.2 kg-m / 52 lb-ft @ 8500 rpm. The bike featured a 6 speed transmission and chain final drive.

In terms of suspension, the bike had air assisted forks in the front with 160mm wheel travel, and a single shock swinging arm in the rear with 109mm wheel travel. The front brakes were 2x 270mm discs, while the rear featured a single 256mm disc. The bike had a wheelbase of 1495 mm / 58.8 in and a seat height of 780 mm / 30.7 in. It weighed 228 kg / 502.5 lbs, with a fuel capacity of 22 Litres / 5.8 US gal, and an average fuel consumption of 36 mpg.
