The Yamaha FJ1200 was a high-performance motorcycle produced from 1986 to 1993 in the United States. In the early 1990s, the FJ1200 underwent a significant facelift, receiving a new 4-into-2 exhaust system, adjustable suspension, and a redesigned fairing.

For the 1993-94 model years, the FJ1200 was powered by an inline four-cylinder engine that produced 118 horsepower and 85 lb-ft of torque. The engine’s bottom-end was borrowed from the previous generation FJ1200, but the cylinder head received a significant redesign.

The FJ1200 also featured a five-speed transmission and a hydraulic clutch, making gear changes smooth and effortless. The bike had a top speed of around 145 mph and could reach 60 mph from a standstill in just 3.3 seconds.

The bike’s suspension system featured Yamaha’s adjustable Electronic Control Suspension (ECS), which allowed riders to adjust the damping and preload settings according to their preferences.
