The Honda VFR 400R NC24 was a four-stroke 399cc motorcycle produced in 1988. It had a V-four cylinder engine with a compression ratio of 11.3:1, producing a maximum power of 59 horsepower at 12800rpm and torque of 39 Nm at 10000rpm. The bike had a six-speed transmission and a chain final drive. It featured a twin-spar aluminum frame and 41mm inverted forks for the front suspension and a rising-rate monoshock for the rear. The front brakes were two 269mm 4-piston calipers and the rear brake was a single disc 2-piston caliper. The bike had a dry weight of 170 kg and its fuel tank had a capacity of 18 litres.
