It had a six-cylinder engine with DOHC and 4 valves per cylinder, able to produce a powerful 98 hp at 9000rpm. The bike featured air cooling and had 6x 28mm Keihin carbs for induction. It was capable of reaching a top speed of 127 mph and achieved an average fuel consumption of 31.7 mpg. The bike had a five-speed transmission and a chain final drive, with gear ratios of 1st 12.90, 2nd 9.26, 3rd 7.35, 4th 6.35 and 5th 5.49.
