The BSA M24 was a four stroke, single cylinder motorcycle produced from 1937 to 1961. It had a OHV engine with a capacity of 498 cc and a bore x stroke of 82 x 94 mm. The bike was air cooled, with dry sump lubrication, a chrome single exhaust and a Lucas magdyno ignition. The clutch was multi-plate cush drive and it had a 4-speed transmission with a chain final drive. The frame was triangulated cradle type with a wheelbase of 1372 mm and ground clearance of 121mm. Saddle height was 724mm. The front suspension had quick adjustable shock absorbers and steering damper and the rear had a spring loaded saddle. The front and rear brakes were both drum with wheels made of steel and laced spokes. The front tyre was 3.00 x 20 in Dunlop Universal and the rear was 3.25 x 19 in Dunlop Universal. Fuel capacity was 13.6 L and the bike came in black/chrome or chrome/matt silver.
