The Ariel FH650 Huntsmaster (Solo) was a motorcycle produced from 1954-58. The Ariel 4F Square Four 600 was produced from 1932 to 1936 and there were 2647 units made. It had a four stroke parallel twin engine with an overhead cam and a capacity of 601cc. The cooling system was air cooled with a compression ratio of 6.9:1. There were two 1-into-1 exhausts and a carburetor induction with a kick start for starting. In 1939, the motorcycle had a maximum power of 17 kW / 23 hp at 5600 rpm. The transmission was a four-speed Burman with final drive being a chain. The frame was made with brazed-lug tubular semi-cradle construction and duplex down-tube. The front suspension was Ariel centre spring girders while the rear suspension was rigid and a spring loaded saddle. The front and rear brakes were drum and measured 7 inches.
