]]> The Benelli 125 Sport Special was a motorcycle produced from 1968-73. It had a horizontally-mounted single cylinder, 4-stroke engine with a capacity of 123.6cc and a compression ratio of 9.2:1. Lubrication was forced with a gear pump and the carburetor was a Dell’Orto UB 22BS. The ignition was flywheel-driven with an HV coil outer and it was started with a kickstart. The maximum power output was 9.3kW/12.5hp at 8500 rpm. The motorcycle had a multi-disc clutch in an oil bath and a 5-speed transmission with a chain final drive. The frame was made of a single tube, open cradle, steel with telescopic fork front suspension and a swinging-arm and hydraulic shock absorber rear suspension. The wheels were steel with laced wire spokes and the front and rear brakes were drums (175 mm and 125 mm respectively). The dimensions included a length of 1940 mm, width of 830 mm, and height of 970 mm with a wheelbase of 1260 mm. The seat height was 710 mm, and dry weight was 103 kg.
