Suzuki GT550 (1972-73)

The Suzuki GT550K was a motorcycle produced by Suzuki in 1972 and 1973. It had a two-stroke, transverse three-cylinder engine with a capacity of 543 cc and a compression ratio of 6.8:1. It had 3 x 28mm Mikuni carburetors and used battery/coil with contact breakers ignition. The bike had both electric and kick starting. It could produce a maximum power of 40 kW / 53 hp at 7500 rpm and a maximum torque of 53 Nm / 5.4 kgf-m / 38.8 ft-lb at 6000 rpm. The frame was made of welded mild steel tubing and had a 5-speed, constant mesh transmission with chain, endless 530 final drive. The bike had a telehydraulic fork front suspension and dual shocks swinging fork preload adjustable rear suspension.
