Honda CBR600F3 (1997)

The Honda CBR 600F3, released in 1997, is a four-stroke motorcycle with a transverse four in-line cylinder engine that’s 30 degrees forward of vertical, DOHC (double overhead camshaft), and has 4-valves per cylinder. The engine weighs 61.9kg and has a capacity of 598cc. Its compression ratio is 12.0:1 and uses a liquid cooling system with forced pressure and trochoid oil pump for lubrication. The engine takes SAE 10W-40, API SF or SG oil and a dual-stage ram air system with paper-element air filter for intake. A transistorized electronic ignition system with 3D mapping provides the spark. Its clutch is multi-plate wet, cable operated with a close-ratio six-speed transmission, chain and 108 link final drive. The motorcycle has a 41mm HMAS cartridge fork with spring preload and rebound damping adjustability and a Unit Pro-Link HMAS rising rate monoshock with preload, compression, and rebound adjustable rear suspension. The front brake uses two 296mm discs with 2 piston calipers, and the rear brake has a single 218mm disc with 1 piston caliper. The road test conducted by Group Test Motosprint 1997 showed that the motorcycle has a top speed of 250.2 km/h, can reach 60-0 in 13.7m and 100-0 in 38.0m, and can finish a quarter-mile in 10.9 seconds with a speed of 198.0 km/h. It has a dry weight of 186kg and a wet weight of 206kg.
