Ducati 350 Scrambler (1968-71)
The Ducati 350 Scrambler was a four-stroke, single-cylinder motorcycle produced from 1968 to 1971. Its engine had a 340.2cc capacity with a bore and stroke of 76 x 75mm and a compression ratio of 10:1. The bike was equipped with a Dell’Orto SS1 29D carburetor and a coil ignition system with a 6V 30W generator and a 13.5 Ah battery. It had a kick-start mechanism and generated a maximum power of 17.5 kW or 24 hp at 8500 rpm. The motorcycle’s wet multi-plate clutch was driven by a 2.111:1 primary drive and transmitted power through a five-speed gearbox. Gear ratios were 2.46:1 for first gear, 1.73:1 for second gear, 1.35:1 for third gear, 1.10:1 for fourth gear, and 0.97:1 for fifth gear, with a 3.214:1 final drive ratio. The motorcycle’s front suspension employed a 35mm Marzocchi telescopic hydraulic fork, while the rear suspension consisted of dual Marzocchi shocks with a swingarm. Both the front and rear brakes featured drum brakes with a 180mm and 160mm diameter, respectively. The front and rear tires were provided by Pirelli and measured 3.50 -19 and 4.00 -18, respectively. The bike’s length, width, height, and wheelbase were 2120 mm, 940 mm, 1150 mm, and 1380 mm, respectively, with a dry weight of 133 kg. The fuel capacity was 10 liters or 2.6 gallons.
