Yamaha XS250 (1982-83)

The Yamaha XS250 DOHC motorcycle was produced from 1982-83 and had a four-stroke, 180-degree parallel twin engine with two valves per cylinder and a capacity of 248 cc. The compression ratio was 10.1:1 and it had a wet sump lubrication system. The bike had 2x 32mm Mikuni carburetors, coil and cb ignition, and could be started by kick. It had a maximum power of 30 hp at 10,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 2.2 kgf-m at 8,500 rpm.

The XS250 DOHC had a wet multiplate clutch, a 6-speed transmission, and a chain final drive. The frame was a duplex cradle design and the suspension consisted of telescopic forks in the front and dual shocks, swing arm, and adjustable 5-position preload in the rear.
