The Yamaha TZR250 motorcycle was produced in 1990 and has a two-stroke, parallel twin-cylinder engine with a capacity of 249cc. It has a liquid cooling system, 2x Mikuni TM28SS carburetor induction, CDI ignition, and kick starting. The bike can produce a maximum power of 50 hp at 10000 rpm and a maximum torque of 35.5 Nm at 9750 rpm. The transmission is 6-speed with a final chain drive. The front suspension has a telescopic fork adjustable preload with 140mm wheel travel and the rear suspension is coil and gas spring preload, with 9-way preload positions and 100mm wheel travel. The front brake has a single 320mm disc with two-piston calipers and the rear brake has a single 210mm disc with one-piston caliper. It has a front and rear tire size of 100/80-17 and 120/80-17 respectively, with a wheelbase of 1375mm and seat height of 760mm. The dry weight is 128kg and the wet weight is 140kg, with a fuel capacity of 16 liters. It has been compared to Suzuki RGV250, Yamaha TZR250, and Kawasaki KR1 in a road test.
