Yamaha SRX250 (1987-90)

The Yamaha SRX250 was a motorcycle produced from 1987 to 1990. It had a four stroke, single cylinder, DOHC, 4 valves engine with a capacity of 249 cc. The bore and stroke measured at 73 mm and 59.6 mm, respectively. The cooling system was air cooled, with a compression ratio of 10.0:1. The Y22PV Teikei carburetor and TCI ignition were used for induction and starting respectively. The maximum power output was 32 hp at 10,000 RPM, and the maximum torque was 2.4 kgf-m at 8,500 RPM. The bike was equipped with six-speed transmission and final chain drive. The front suspension was centre axle 33mm forks, while the rear suspension used a single shock with adjustable spring preload. The front wheel travel was 140 mm, while the rear wheel travel was 100 mm. The bike was fitted with a single disc 2 piston caliper front brake and a drum rear brake.
