Vespa 150 & 150 Super (1954-60)

The Vespa 150 and 150 Super were two-stroke, single-cylinder motorcycles produced from 1954 to 1960 in a quantity of 98,700 units. They had a 145.5cc capacity with a bore and stroke of 57 x 57mm and a compression ratio of 6.5:1. The motorcycles used a Dell’Orto MA19 carburetor and were air-cooled with forced cooling, requiring a fuel mixture of 1:20. Ignition was provided by a 6-pole flywheel magneto with a 6-volt battery for starting. The motorcycles featured a wet, multiplate clutch with cork inserts and had a maximum power output of 4.0 kW/5.4 hp. The 3-speed transmission had grip-shift and constant mesh with gear ratios of 1st 12.2/2nd 7.6/3rd 4.85:1 and a direct drive final drive. The motorcycles had a pressed sheet steel, streamlined monocoque structure frame with helicoidal spring and hydraulic shock absorber suspension at the front and rear.
