Velocette MAC (1946-59)

The Velocette MAC was a post-war motorcycle produced from 1946 to 1959, with 25,000 units manufactured. It featured a four stroke, single cylinder, OHV engine with a capacity of 349 cc, producing 11 kW / 15 hp at 6300 rpm. The bike had a three-plate clutch and four-speed transmission, with a final drive chain. It had a single top and front down tube and twin tube cradle frame, with pre-war Webb girder style front suspension, and post-war air-sprung Dowty Oleomatic forks. The front and rear drum brakes were 7 in. and 6 in., respectively, and it had 19 in. spoked wheels with 3.25 x 19 in. front and rear tyres. The dry weight of the MAC was 161 kg / 355 lbs, and it had a fuel capacity of 11.4 L / 3 US gal. The top speed of the MAC was 121 km/h / 75 mph, and it was available in black/chrome.
