Triumph Daytona 1000 (1991)
The Triumph Daytona 1000, produced in 1991, was a four-stroke, transverse four-cylinder motorcycle with a liquid-cooled DOHC engine with 4 valves per cylinder, resulting in a capacity of 998cc. It had a maximum power output of 100 hp at 9800 rpm and maximum torque of 88 Nm at 8500 rpm. The bike was equipped with a 6-speed transmission and a wet, cable-operated clutch, and had a steel twin-spar frame. The front suspension was 43mm telescopic and adjustable for preload, 12-way compression, and rebound damping, while the rear suspension was a tri-link rising rate monoshock with 5-way preload and 4-way damping. The braking system featured two 310mm discs with 2-piston calipers at the front and a single 255mm disc at the rear. The front and rear tires were 130/60 VR17 and 170/60 VR18, respectively, with a recommended front tire pressure of 2.5 bar.
