The Suzuki GS 850G was a motorcycle produced by Suzuki between 1985 and 1988. It had a four-stroke, transverse four-cylinder engine with DOHC and two valves per cylinder. The engine capacity was 843cc and the bore and stroke were 69mm and 56.4mm respectively. The cooling system was air-cooled and the compression ratio was 8.8:1. The bike had 4 x mm Mikuni carburetors and a transistorized ignition system. It could be started electrically or with a kick start. The maximum power output was 57.1kW (77.6hp) at 9,000rpm and the maximum torque was 65Nm (47.9lb-ft) at 7,500rpm. The bike had a 5-speed transmission with a shaft final drive.
