Laverda  1000 3C (1977-78)

The Laverda 1000 3C motorcycle was produced from 1977 to 1978 with a four stroke, transverse three cylinder, and DOHC engine. It had a capacity of 980 cc and a compression ratio of 9.0:1. The bike was equipped with 3x 32mm Dell’Orto PHF carburetors and a Bosch electronic ignition system. It had a maximum power of 78 hp and maximum torque of 86 Nm. The motorcycle had a 5-speed transmission and chain final drive. The suspension consisted of telescopic forks at the front and a swinging fork at the rear. Braking was provided by 2x 280mm discs with 2 piston calipers at the front and a single 280mm disc with a 1 piston caliper at the rear. The front and rear tires were 3.25 H19 and 4.00 H18, respectively. It weighed 214 kg with a fuel capacity of 20.5 Litres/5.4 US gal.
