Kawasaki ZL400 Eliminator (1992-95)

The Kawasaki ZL 400 Eliminator was produced from 1992-95 and had a four-stroke, four-cylinder DOHC engine with a capacity of 398cc. The engine had a bore and stroke of 56×40.4 mm and was liquid-cooled with a compression ratio of 11.0:1. The induction system used 4x 30mm Keihin CV and ignition was provided by CDI. The motorcycle had an electric starter and a maximum power output of 54 hp at 12000 rpm and a maximum torque of 3.4 kgf-m at 10500 rpm. The transmission featured six speeds and the final drive was through a shaft. Suspension was provided by telescopic forks at the front and dual shocks at the rear. The front brake was a single disc and the rear brake was a drum. The front tyre was 100/90-18 while the rear tyre was 150/80-15. The seat height was 705 mm and the dry weight was 192 kg. Fuel capacity was 13 litres (3.4 US gallons).
