The Kawasaki KLX 300R is a four-stroke, single-cylinder, off-road motorcycle produced between 2000 and 2003. The 292cc engine has a bore and stroke of 78 x 61.2 mm, a compression ratio of 11:1, and is cooled by a liquid cooling system. The bike is started using a kick mechanism and has a maximum power of 33 hp at 8500 rpm and maximum torque of 28.4Nm at 7500 rpm. The transmission is a six-speed manual with a wet, multi-disc clutch, and final drive is via chain, with a ratio of 14-tooth front and 50-tooth rear. The frame is made of high tensile steel perimeter, with a front suspension of 43mm inverted cartridge fork and 20-way compression damping. The rear suspension is a single shock, and there are single disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels.
