The Honda CX500 motorcycle was produced from 1979 to 1980, featuring a four-stroke longitudinal 800 V-twin cylinder engine with a camshaft nestled at the base of the V between the cylinders. It had OHV, 4 valves per cylinder operated by pushrods, and a capacity of 497 cc with a bore x stroke of 78 x 52 mm and a compression ratio of 10.0:1.
