The Honda CB 500X motorcycle is a 2017-18 model. It has a four-stroke, parallel-twin, DOHC engine with a capacity of 471cc/28.7 cu-in. The compression ratio is 10.7:1 and it is liquid-cooled with an oil capacity of 3.2 litres. The induction system is PGM-FI with 34mm throttle bodies and the ignition is computer-controlled digital transistorized with electronic advance. The starting system is electric and the maximum power output is 46.9 hp/35 kW at 8500 rpm. The clutch is wet multiplate and the transmission has six speeds with an O-ring-sealed chain. The frame is made of steel and is diamond-shaped with a conventional telescopic 41mm fork front suspension and Prolink mono rear suspension with nine-stage preload adjuster and steel square pipe swingarm. The front and rear brakes are single 320mm wave discs with two-piston calipers and single 240mm wave discs with one-piston calipers, respectively. The front and rear wheels are multi-spoke aluminium cast with front and rear tyre size of 120/70-17 and 160/60-17, respectively. The dimensions of the motorcycle are length 2095 mm, width 830 mm, height 1290 mm, and a wheelbase of 1421mm with a seat height of 810mm and ground clearance of 170mm. The motorcycle weighs 195kg and has a fuel capacity of 17.3 litres or 4.5 US gallons.
