Ducati Monster 1200 (2014)

The Ducati Monster 1200 is a high-performance motorcycle with a four-stroke Testastretta 11 degree L-twin engine, DOHC, and 4 desmodromically actuated valves per cylinder. It has a capacity of 1198cc and a compression ratio of 12.5:1. The bike is cooled by a liquid cooling system and has a wet, multiplate clutch with hydraulic control. The electronic fuel injection system has 53 mm throttle bodies with full Ride-by-Wire technology. The lightweight 2-1-2 exhaust system has catalytic converter and two lambda probes, with twin aluminum mufflers. The bike can generate a maximum power of 135 HP at 8750 rpm and a maximum torque of 118 Nm at 7250 rpm. It has a light-action wet multiplate clutch with hydraulic control, with self-servo action on drive and slipper action on over-run, and a 6-speed transmission with chain drive. The frame is of tubular steel Trellis attached to the cylinders head, while the suspension system has a 43 mm fully adjustable USD forks at the front and a progressive linkage with fully adjustable monoshock aluminum single-sided swingarm at the rear. Its braking system consists of 2 x 320mm semi-floating discs on the front with radially mounted Monobloc Brembo M4-32 calipers and 4-pistons, and a single 245 mm disc with 2-piston floating calliper on the rear, both equipped with Bosch ABS system as standard equipment. The bike is designed with a 10-spoke light alloy wheel and Pirelli Diablo Rosso II tires. It has a wheelbase of 1511 mm, a dry weight of 182 kg, and an adjustable seat height of 785 mm-810 mm. The bike has a standard equipment package including Riding modes, Power modes, DSP Ducati Safety Pack, RbW, passenger handles and seat cover, a readiness for anti-theft system, and DDA. The instrumentation system of the motorcycle comprises a color TFT display.
