Ducati 750SS (1973-74)
The Ducati 750 Super Sport, a motorcycle manufactured between 1973 and 1974, had a 748 cc four-stroke, 90-degree L twin cylinder engine with a 9.5:1 compression ratio. The engine featured a single overhead camshaft with two valves per cylinder and was cooled by air. First starting with a kick, the motorcycle had maximum power of 51.5 kW and torque of 71.6 Nm at 5500 rpm. The transmission had five speeds and a wet, multiplate clutch. The frame was made of tubular steel and had a twin downtube. The front suspension was a 38 mm Marzocchi telescopic fork, and the rear had dual shocks that were three-way adjustable, measuring 305 mm from Marzocchi. The front brakes comprised of twin 275 mm discs with a Scarab caliper, while the rear brake was a single 230 mm disc with a Lockheed caliper. The 180 kg motorcycle had a fuel capacity of 17 litres and a top speed of 230 km/h. The blue/green frame and silver colours were the options available for the Super Sport.
