Ducati 175 Gran Sport (1957-62)
The Ducati 175 Gran Sport was a four-stroke, single-cylinder motorcycle produced between 1957 and 1962 with a 175.4cc capacity and 16 horsepower at 9000 rpm. This sporty bike had a compression ratio of 8.5:1, was air-cooled, and utilized a Dell’Orto SS1 22.5C carburetor. It had a multi-wet plate, wet clutch and 4-speed transmission, with a final chain drive. The 103kg bike had a single tubular frame and a hydraulic telescopic fork suspension in front, and a swingarm dual shock system in the back. The front and rear brakes are both drums with a full aluminum design, and the Ducati 175 Gran Sport had 2.50-18 and 2.75-18 tyres in front and rear respectively. It could reach top speed of 155 km/h (96 mph) and had a fuel capacity of 17 L (4.5 US gal / 3.7 Imp gal). The bike has become widely renowned for its winning performance at races like the 1958 Imola GP, and its overall speed and agility.
