Aprilia Tuono 1000R Racing (2003)

The Aprilia Tuono 1000R Racing was a limited production motorcycle with only 200 units made in 2003. It featured a four-stroke, longitudinal 60-degree V-twin engine with a capacity of 997.6cc and a compression ratio of 11.4:1. The engine also had double trochoidal pumps with oil coolers, and an integrated electronic engine management system for indirect multipoint electronic injection. The bike had a 6-speed transmission with multiple disk clutch and a primary drive ratio of 60:31, and a final drive ratio of 42:17. The frame was a box section sloping twin-spar frame in aluminum alloy, with a rake of 25 degrees and trail of 99mm, while the suspension system featured an upside-down ~Ahlins fork and progressive linkage with APS system for the swing arm in aluminum alloy.
