The Matchless G85 CS was a motorcycle produced from 1964 to 1969, equipped with a single-cylinder, four-stroke, pushrod engine with a capacity of 497cc. The bike had a gear-driven oil pump for lubrication, a 1-3/8 inch Amal GP carburetor (later replaced by a 932 Concentric carburetor), and a magneto ignition system.
